Mind, body, and spirit - sounds good......

...let me tell you about being part of the Yoga Balance family.  I say 'family' because Mari always introduces any newcomer or drop-in, then welcomes them to "hang out with us tonight".  Mari, and all her qualified instructors, always check in with everyone's needs as we prepare for 'centering'....  We are encouraged to make it our own personal yoga experience, knowing that each person is at a different level, every time we attend class.  We are reminded to honor our bodies by going to our edge, or simply resting as needed.  Before relaxation, we are always given a few minutes to incorporate anything we feel our body is asking..... after relaxation, the instructor (may) read a small passage that can be thought provoking, or just plain interesting.  Taking time to absorb our entire yoga experience prior to leaving is readily suggested and I feel it embraces calmness.  Although each instructor is unique, they all follow the high standards Mari has put in place.  The entire staff is caring, and will often follow up on individual issues, offering personal suggestions.
I find Yoga Balance to be an uplifting place to "hang out" with people who share the same goals that we all strive for; that is, to continue that self growth from within.

Yoga Balance is located in Manchester. They offer a wide variety of yoga classes for all levels and ages. Some of the different styles of Yoga classes they offer are Kripalu which is getting on touch with your body through breathing awareness. Yoga Basics is a 45 minutes class that focuses heavily of stretching to increase flexibility, stress relief and relaxation. Advanced Yoga experts can take Vinyasa Flow Yoga that focuses on posture and breathing awareness. It is a pretty intense class but you feel great afterwards. Like to dance? Well then you will enjoy their Danskinetics class which they offer on the 3rd Saturday of each month. It combines dance moves with music such as Celtic, pop, jazz and natural sounds with basic yoga moves. Have kids between the ages of 8-12 years of age? They are sure to enjoy the Kids Yoga class. It is a 6 weeks session with they will learn the basic of Yoga. It combines yoga, exercise and a whole lot of fun. Each class includes a warming up period, yoga poses, breathing exercises, free movement and a cool down period.

Everyone wants a healthy body, mind and spirit and these are just the places to handle that.

Having traveled far and wide, YogaBalance is my favorite place to practice yoga.  No other studio provides the variety or friendliness of YogaBalance.  I look foward to my daily practice of yoga with Mari and her team of highly commited and talented instructors.  YogaBalance will always be my yoga home!

I started practicing yoga because I was burnt out on the gym scene…. I belonged to a gym where after two years I never had a conversation with any other members – other than to say hi…… and I’m a pretty chatty person!

After trying a few different yoga studios – and not feeling a perfect fit at any – too far to drive, too New Agey, too rigid (who would’ve thought?)…….

I discovered YogaBalance about 3 years ago and truly a perfect fit!  From feeling totally welcome at the first class to knowledgeable and sensitive instructors, add in warm and friendly students – equals the perfect yoga studio.  I found a place to work out, grow mentally, reduce stress, find a sense of community and have fun.  

I’ve taken classes with all of the instructors– I wish I could fit every class into my schedule!  Whether it’s Sunday afternoon Basics with Bill –a great way to wind down the weekend and refocus for the coming week… or Warm and Toasty yoga with Jenn – YUMMY – your muscles feel like you’ve just had a massage by the end of class!  All of the classes and instructors offer something that will meet whatever level of experience you are at….

I really could go on – I’ve gained so much more than just greater flexibility at Yoga Balance – Mari has created an amazing space to practice yoga in - you just have to drop in and try a class for yourself! You’ll love it too!
