This class is taught by:

She invites you to join her in any of her amazing classes at YogaBalance.

Beth Berkeley

For Beth, Yoga is an essential practice for life and for a lifetime—a core resource for cultivating a strong, flexible body, a focused mind and a connection to something greater than the self. Since stumbling upon her first yoga class 20 years ago as an athlete looking for more flexibility, Beth has trained in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition with Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, Richard Freeman and David Williams. She has taught at numerous studios, co-led international yoga retreats and developed functional anatomy trainings for yoga teachers in training. Beth is a 2001 graduate of the Healing Touch Institute and a 2004 graduate of the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration and maintains a full-time private Rolfing® and massage therapy practice.

Maryjean Kimball

Maryjean came to yoga through her years in fitness and ballet training. Her personal yoga practice became her passion. She loved the external physical gains that her body made in flexibility and strength. She soon realized the true “power” of yoga lies in its ability to cultivate internal balance and clarity of mind and went on to complete her 200hr Yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center. As an external and creative student, Maryjean continues to study all forms of yoga, allowing her practice to change and evolve and guides her classes with precision, enthusiasm, and safe alignment allowing her students to reach their goals for both body and mind.

Jenn Valentin

Jenn received both a 500-hour certification and a 200-hour certification in Shakti Flow from At Om Yoga, another 200-hour certification from YogaWorks, a 200-hour certification from O2 Yoga, and yet another 200-hour certification in the Yoga of Energy Flow. When Jenn walked into her first yoga class, she immediately fell in love with the practice. In addition to maintaining a full-time corporate career, she realized her dream of becoming a yoga teacher, and she also owned a successful yoga studio for several years prior to joining the YogaBalance team. Jenn’s classes mix various styles of yoga, so each class is different, fun, interesting and challenging. She invites you to experience the benefits of yoga at YogaBalance.

We will practice longer-held postures with a focus on alignment to refine and deepen our practice. We will practice flow sequences to help us connect with our breath and our subtle energy. Guided by the wisdom of yoga philosophy, we will learn to relate more deeply and authentically with ourselves and the world around us. Appropriate for all - modifications will be offered for beginners.
