She successfully passed the rigorous and prestigious YogaWorks Certification Assessment in NYC in 2014 and has assisted Natasha Rizopoulos and Jocelyn Casey-Whiteman with their YogaWorks yoga teacher trainings in Boston and NH respectively. Kate's classes focuses on alignment and cultivating skill in the postures and the use of the breath to tap into our subtle energy and create a state of inner calm and ease. Kate is also the Manager of YogaBalance, where her tenacity and business acumen have helped create one of New England's top yoga studios.

Jenn Valentin

Jenn received both a 500-hour certification and a 200-hour certification in Shakti Flow from At Om Yoga, another 200-hour certification from YogaWorks, a 200-hour certification from O2 Yoga, and yet another 200-hour certification in the Yoga of Energy Flow. When Jenn walked into her first yoga class, she immediately fell in love with the practice. In addition to maintaining a full-time corporate career, she realized her dream of becoming a yoga teacher, and she also owned a successful yoga studio for several years prior to joining the YogaBalance team. Jenn’s classes mix various styles of yoga, so each class is different, fun, interesting and challenging. She invites you to experience the benefits of yoga at YogaBalance.

Melissa B. Borthwick

Melissa received a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks.  She began practicing yoga in Tennessee in the late 90s. Initially drawn to the athleticism of yoga, Melissa's practice was strictly a physical one until the birth of her daughter in 2010. The new physical limitations she then experienced sparked the beginning of an interest in the deeper aspects of yoga, and now she loves both the physical challenge on the mat and the peace that extends beyond it. Melissa is excited to have you join her for a fun practice that will leave you smiling and with a full heart.

Jean-Marie Belzile

Jean-Marie has been teaching various styles of yoga since 2006.  She attended her first yoga class in 1995 when she was a group fitness instructor, and she immediately incorporated yoga postures into her classes to promote flexibility.  She subsequently received her 200-hour YTT certification in Anahata Integral yoga, and her 500-hour certification in Shakti yoga.  As a perpetual student, Jean-Marie has an ongoing self-study practice, which consists of daily meditation and being present in each moment.  She invites you to experience her diverse teachings in each of her YogaBalance classes.

Maryjean Kimball

Maryjean came to yoga through her years in fitness and ballet training. Her personal yoga practice became her passion. She loved the external physical gains that her body made in flexibility and strength. She soon realized the true “power” of yoga lies in its ability to cultivate internal balance and clarity of mind and went on to complete her 200hr Yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center. As an external and creative student, Maryjean continues to study all forms of yoga, allowing her practice to change and evolve and guides her classes with precision, enthusiasm, and safe alignment allowing her students to reach their goals for both body and mind.

Amy Fluet

Amy received a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks. She has been a student of yoga since the birth of her first child in 2000. Yoga has always been a much needed physical outlet for Amy, as well as an opportunity for spiritual growth. While exploring the many styles of yoga, she always envisioned herself eventually sharing the gift of yoga through teaching. Amy enjoys sharing the healing power of yoga with her students.

Jessica Rigoli

Jessica is a graduate of Yoga Works 200 hour certificate program. Her first yoga class was right here at YogaBalance in 2010. Jessica has been diligently practicing Vinyasa Flow, Align, Hatha and Gentle yoga since that time. Yoga has become a way of life for her. In addition to her love of yoga, Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Master Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. She continues to find balance with her career and passion for her yoga practice. Jessica feels grateful to share what YogaBalance has offered her with her students.
Our most vigorous and advanced class, based on the Vinyasa Flow style of yoga. We will explore a variety of fluid movements, postures and breathing techniques, moving from one posture to the next on each inhale and exhale, generating heat, strength and toning. Our Flow classes may explore arm balances and inversions, but modifications will be offered to ensure the class is appropriate for anyone who wants a challenge.
