Take your Yoga outside and enjoy the beautiful New England summer! In this all-levels Hatha class at the YogaBalance Yoga Platform at Dorrs Pond, we will enjoy stretching and strengthening, movement and stillness, challenge and ease. Appropriate for all. Classes take place at Dorrs Pond, Livingston Park, 156 Hooksett Road, Manchester NH. From the Dorrs Pond parking lot, begin to walk clockwise on the trail. Continue about 0.1 miles and look for the sign for the YogaBalance Yoga platform just set back from the trail on the right.

Ease your way into the evening and unwind after a busy day with Gentle Yoga!
 
Perfect for beginners or experienced students who want a slower paced, less strenuous class, in this class, we will focus on stretching postures, gentle flows and breathing techniques that release stress, reduce tension and promote relaxation. We will finish with an optional 10-15 meditation for those who are interested or enjoy a deliciously long and luxurious Savasana! Absolutely no Yoga or Meditation experience is required.
 
Space is limited; sign up as soon as you can! $95 per person; $65 for seniors and students. YB monthly members get a 10% discount!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Join us for a six-week series of classes that will enable you to stay fit and active, reduce stress and become more in tune with your body at this very special time.

We will explore pregnancy-specific yoga postures, flows, modifications and variations that will help you find more comfort as your baby grows and your body changes. We will practice various breathing and relaxation techniques to help you stay calm and at ease during your pregnancy and during childbirth. We will create a supportive community and nurturing environment in which you will feel pampered, nourished and rejuvenated.

Everybody can do yoga! Our popular Beginners’ Yoga Workshop is specifically tailored for complete Beginners and is a wonderful, non-intimidating way to start your practice!

The workshop will include a 30-minute discussion about the history of yoga, the various styles of yoga, and both the physical and mental benefits of a yoga practice. The remainder of the workshop will focus on a breakdown of the basic postures of yoga with attention to alignment and options for modifications of poses as well as an introduction to meditation.

There is an infinite number of ways your body is capable of moving. Yoga explores many of them and YogaDance® is about exploring the rest. We will start off slowly warming up and easing into motion. We will spend time playing with movement, patterns, rhythms, and tempos. We’ll experiment with moving fast & slow, dramatic & demur, big & small, heavy & light. We’ll play with shifting, pulsing, shimmying, rocking, swaying, swirling, and bouncing. YogaDance® is about being with your whole self, inviting the emotional body to explore graceful, easeful, joyful, primal, passionate, and sorrowful ways the body can “speak” that are beyond human words. We will then ride a cascading wave of energy into a deep and integrative relaxation.

Yin Yoga is a nourishing practice that focusing on slowing down and “allowing”. Most Yoga practices are a balance of Yin and Yang energy – heating, invigorating and active work complemented with cooling, calming and resting. Similar to Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga focuses on the more calming or “Yin” element of the practice.
 
Yin Yoga focuses on releasing the deeper soft tissues of body; our ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones and places a particular emphasis on the areas of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. In Yin Yoga, we hold postures for longer periods of time to allow a gentle release within in the body, a return to the breath, the cultivation of mindfulness and the opportunity to truly experience the present moment.
