Jean-Marie Belzile

Jean-Marie has been teaching various styles of yoga since 2006.  She attended her first yoga class in 1995 when she was a group fitness instructor, and she immediately incorporated yoga postures into her classes to promote flexibility.  She subsequently received her 200-hour YTT certification in Anahata Integral yoga, and her 500-hour certification in Shakti yoga.  As a perpetual student, Jean-Marie has an ongoing self-study practice, which consists of daily meditation and being present in each moment.  She invites you to experience her diverse teachings in each of her YogaBalance classes.

Taryn Scott-Kolbe

Taryn is a ballet dancer and instructor originally from New Hampshire. She began practicing Yoga in 2000 while recovering from an injury, and received her teaching certification through the Zarnay Yoga teacher training program in 2006. Taryn has taught yoga in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as the United States. She has continued her studies of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga under various instructors from all over the world. Taryn invites you to join her at YogaBalance.

Emily Brouillet

Emily began taking yoga classes in 2010 with her dance team to improve her flexibility and strength. It wasn’t until about 5 years later that she discovered yoga is more than just a physical practice. She noticed that practicing yoga made her mind feel more at ease, focused, and peaceful throughout the day. Emily received her Classical Yoga RYT-200hr certification in September 2017 from YogaLife. She believes that a strong connection between the mind and body is fundamental to self-discovery and personal growth. Yoga has helped her own personal growth in so many ways and so she is excited to share the many benefits of a yoga practice through her teaching.

Debra Zarnay

Debra Zarnay E-RYT 500, YACEP, has been teaching yoga since 1994, studying BKS Iyengar Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. Debbie spent 36 years in the dance industry before becoming an Aerobics Instructor and Personal Trainer in 1995. Having a ballet background, a love for yoga, and being a Personal Trainer, Deb developed Zarnay Yoga to further enhance her students’ flexibility and balance. After owning two Yoga Studios in New England, she continues to teach, certifies teachers (one on one), and offers Workshops where ever she goes! Debbie completed the Y12SR Certification, (Yoga for 12 Step Recovery), in November 2013.

Maryjean Kimball

Maryjean came to yoga through her years in fitness and ballet training. Her personal yoga practice became her passion. She loved the external physical gains that her body made in flexibility and strength. She soon realized the true “power” of yoga lies in its ability to cultivate internal balance and clarity of mind and went on to complete her 200hr Yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center. As an external and creative student, Maryjean continues to study all forms of yoga, allowing her practice to change and evolve and guides her classes with precision, enthusiasm, and safe alignment allowing her students to reach their goals for both body and mind.

Brittany Forziati

Brittany received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification through a local Yoga Alliance course in Fair Haven, NJ. She has been practicing yoga for about 10 years, and teaching for 3. She focuses on strength-building, vinyasa flow classes that build heat and encourage flexibility during her classes. She is currently in nursing school, and if she is not teaching or practicing yoga you can find her doing some other type of physical activity or catching up on some much needed sleep!

Elise Noga

Elise received her 200-hour certification through YogaWorks in 2017. She has practiced yoga regularly for over two years, beginning with her last job where they had yoga classes offered on site. During that class, she developed a passion for the physical practice as well as the spiritual development and enjoyed the stress-relieving benefits of yoga. She has been taking what she has learned through training and has been able to apply it by teaching yoga classes at her current place of work, where she teaches all levels. Elise is excited to have you practice with her and continue learning more about yoga with her in class.

Melissa B. Borthwick

Melissa received a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks.  She began practicing yoga in Tennessee in the late 90s. Initially drawn to the athleticism of yoga, Melissa's practice was strictly a physical one until the birth of her daughter in 2010. The new physical limitations she then experienced sparked the beginning of an interest in the deeper aspects of yoga, and now she loves both the physical challenge on the mat and the peace that extends beyond it. Melissa is excited to have you join her for a fun practice that will leave you smiling and with a full heart.

Gen MacKenzie

Gen Mackenzie is ERYT200 and RYT500 (Rolf Gates, Jacqui Bonwell and David Vendetti). She likes to teach a well-balanced class- delivering strength and flexibility for both body and mind. She is known for her fun choreography and eclectic music selection. “Yoga is a lifelong journey and my own experience has taught me that the challenges we are presented have the potential to lead us to amazing growth. I use my own practice to quiet down enough to see the new path presented to me.” Gen is dedicated to bringing yoga to those in recovery. She recently completed the Y12SR Teacher Training, a program that integrates yoga and The 12 Steps. When she isn't at the studio, she can be found outside on a walk, or leading yoga classes with her friends in the recovery community.
In this well-rounded class, we will stretch and strengthen our bodies, open our hearts and calm our minds. We will practice longer-held postures with a focus on alignment to refine and deepen our practice. We will practice flow sequences to help us connect with our breath and our subtle energy. Guided by the wisdom of yoga philosophy, we will learn to relate more deeply and authentically with ourselves and the world around us. Appropriate for all - modifications will be offered for beginners.
