Warm Yoga

This class is taught by:

Melissa B. Borthwick

Melissa received a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks.  She began practicing yoga in Tennessee in the late 90s. Initially drawn to the athleticism of yoga, Melissa's practice was strictly a physical one until the birth of her daughter in 2010. The new physical limitations she then experienced sparked the beginning of an interest in the deeper aspects of yoga, and now she loves both the physical challenge on the mat and the peace that extends beyond it. Melissa is excited to have you join her for a fun practice that will leave you smiling and with a full heart.

Aspen Smuz

Aspen began her yoga teaching journey with a YogaFit certification in 2012, having been hooked on the vast benefits of yoga since her very first class in the basement of her synagogue in 2004. Since then, she has been teaching various styles of yoga regularly and has received her 500-HR yoga teacher certification at AYM (Association for Yoga and Meditation) Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. Aspen’s approach to wellness comes from her passion for helping others energetically, physically and emotionally. She is also a certified personal trainer, multi-format group fitness instructor, MAT trainer and Reiki practitioner. She looks forward to helping you calm the mind as well as condition the body with all the amazing benefits of yoga.

Mary Delay

Mary’s yoga journey began in 2009. She started with a Bikram yoga practice that over time evolved into a Hatha and Vinyasa Flow practice. Inspired by the many wonderful instructors she encountered on the mat, Mary completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through YogaWorks at YogaBalance in 2018. Off of the mat, she makes a conscious effort to apply breathing and meditation techniques gained in yoga classes at her full time job as a second grade teacher. Mary is focused on providing a welcoming environment in which students can improve their physical and spiritual wellness.
The studio is heated to 80-85 degrees, in order to help us loosen tight muscles, open stiff joints, warm connective tissue, release toxins and sweat out stress and tension. Appropriate for all students interested in a moderate challenge, these classes are available during the late Fall and Winter. (Not suitable during pregnancy and for those with heart conditions).
